Having refined the clay prototypes over the last few weeks, the class prepares to cast plaster molds of their designs.
The molds will be enormous, taking about 150lbs of dry plaster each and measuring about 36 x 36 x 14 inches on average.
We start by building plywood boxes, sealing them with clay so the plaster won't leak out. Once the clay molds have been double-checked for undercuts, plaster is mixed and we start pouring! (See next album)
