Hunters

Mates share the job of bringing food to chicks. They are impressive hunters and can carry over 15 whole fish in their bills and forage up to 90km away from the island. Gulls like to steal their catch when they land on the island at night. Studies show habitat with vegetation can reduce this interaction - "kleptoparasitism".
