In the Ground!

Five new ceramic nest modules traveled down the coast, over the water and into the ground (well, four made it intact) on a week ago, just before the auklets started laying their eggs. Time will tell how they like their new homes, but the modules certainly look nice and seem sturdy, buried in the soil on Año Nuevo Island.
