Progress to date... Moulds poured and now the work begins!

Well here we find ourselves with just under two months to go before the conclusion of our semester and between now and that moment there will undoubtedly be a beehive of activity going on as there is still much to be done. Our class divvied up in three groups of three has been working on our respective nesting module designs and have brought them each to the point where moulds have now been poured.

I think I can safely say we were all taken a bit by surprise as to how big of a production that process turned out to be. All hands on deck were required in order to mix and pour 300 hundred pounds of plaster for each individual group. By the end, with various items of our clothes bearing evidence of our endeavor, we had all become junior masters at the art of mould making.

As much of a milestone getting to this point was, the main body of our work can now begin as each group sets out to make roughly 30 nesting modules... (accounting for some of them breaking during the transportation to Año Nuevo Island.) More on that once my group members and I make headway into it!
